2024 Tolpuddle Vineyard Pinot Noir Magnum 1.5L Tasmania – The Tolpuddle 2024 growing season was marked by a wetter than normal spring, followed by excellent ripening conditions in the remainder of the season. Despite the wet start, the cooler than average conditions in the Coal River Valley allowed grapes to ripen slowly leading to concentrated, aromatic fruit for both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. All hand-picked fruit is fermented as a combination of whole berries and whole bunches, in open wooden and stainless fermenters, with gentle plunging. Aged for 10 months in French oak, of which about one third was new.Dark, brooding fruit and lifted aromas of aniseed and pepper. On the palate, concentrated fruit is framed by fine, integrated tannins that linger on the finish.
