Twelve months in Allie – Bertrange oak barrels with medium toast and another twelve months in the bottle. Tasting characteristics: Allowing the fruits to remain on the vine and dehydrate enhances the aromas and flavors to a point of perfection. It is a full-bodied, flavorful wine with rose petals, pear, and apricot, and the spicy floral aromas of the Gewurztraminer grape. The residual sugar is well balanced by the acidity, making the overall effect refreshing, neither aromatic nor sour. This wine has a pleasant, long finish. Harmony: It is wonderful served alone or excellent with a wide variety of fruit-based desserts, such as fruit tarts, fruit cakes, pavlova, and more. Greek syrupy desserts like revani, galaktoboureko (cream and phyllo pie), and baklava with nuts. All kinds of blue cheeses and foie gras pair well.
